The former welterweight champion will return to the ring at the middle weight after meeting Mundine’s career last November and less than two minutes later, when he meets Melbourne’s Geraffer (26-21-5) on August 31 at Bendigo’s Melbourne.
Zerafa is an embarrassing domestic tune for the Horns (1-5-6) as he and his management position battle with the winner of Rob Brent and Rito Moura for the WBA middleweight belt, possibly with another stadium ties to the air home turf.
But Zeraffa, who lost in unanimous decision to British star Kyle Brooke in Sheffield at the end of 2018, will not mock Horn on the way to the next fight. The Melbourne product is tough, intriguing and has already found a way to get into Horn’s nerve, which can do a bit.
The 27-year-old said the Horn-Mundine fight was little more than a farce and made Queenslander a pretty good bet, but he was painted as dumb content to defeat Prime well for the chief minister.
“I wasn’t too impressed. There was nothing too much to see. He was struggling with a young man as a 6-year-old. He felt he was stronger in the middleweight, but couldn’t brag about it. He would learn the hard way.” Jerfa said.
“I think it backs up his career. Everyone has seen that he was involved in the ring with a guy who should have retired five years ago. Not to take anything away from Mundine, but he spent a good deal of his used date with him. Around
“Mundine didn’t know what was going on. He looked slow and tired. He had no idea there.”
Horn was a media favorite, thanks to the incredible rise of the elite level of boxing and the reputation of being one of the friendliest characters in Australian sport, but the fight will take place in the backyard of Zerfa and will receive a reception suitable for the Warriors outside of Victoria.
Zerafa said, “He’s a villain. We’ve got good support, a good following. The crowd will burst. The team and I believe we can prevent him in rounds six to eight.”
“This is a huge amount for me. He made this mistake by signing a contract and looking at us as a fight to sustain him.”
Zeraffa simply doesn’t believe that Horn remains hungry in the sport now that he has a healthy bank balance, the skin on Manny Pacquiao’s famous head and a happy family. To his credit, as an honest horn agreed, things have changed since the day Pacquiao was taken down at Suncorp Stadium.
It was until he met Zerfa and listened to his words, that he was annoyed enough that he couldn’t help but let the competitive juices flow again. Even with his captivating recent biography, Horn still finds himself being overridden.
“I don’t know if I was as hungry as before. But I am still hungry, especially when I am confronted with this guy. I want to close my mouth and keep open and say how bad I am and how bad my acting is. Because. I really want to show him that I’m not done, “Horn said.
“Obviously you have a lot of people about to lose me in the fight I got into. Michael is very confident about throwing you. He is very arrogant in the way I think he is an EasyBit. It doesn’t matter.
“Everyone underestimates me … they say no until I fight them and defeat them, they all seem to be referring to one person at a time”.
